Want to fly solo or with a friend or two? No problem, as long as your combined weight meets our operating requirements (generally 70kg minimum). You'll soar up to 1,000 feet above the crystal-clear waters of Lake Taupō for breathtaking panoramic views.

Each flight lasts approximately 10 minutes and includes the option of a thrilling freefall descent. You can also choose to finish with our popular Sky Dip – a refreshing splash in the lake before returning to the boat. As you gently rise behind the boat, you'll experience the peaceful silence of the sky while taking in unforgettable views of New Zealand's largest lake and the surrounding mountains.

Weight Restrictions

For your safety, all flights are subject to minimum and maximum weight requirements.

The parasail gets its stability from the weight of the flyers – much like the tail of a kite helps keep it stable in the air.

• Minimum flight weight: 70 kg combined
  
• Maximum flight weight: Approximately 200 kg combined
  

These weight limits may vary depending on the weather and wind conditions on the day. For example, lighter winds may require a higher minimum weight, while stronger winds may reduce the maximum allowable weight.

Our skipper will assess the conditions before every flight and has the final authority on flight pairings and weights to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
